Good news! 
We have made significant improvements to brands! 
Here's a quick video reviewing how to use Brands in Minvo:

You can edit your brand defaults by clicking the brand dropdown at the top-right, then hovering over a brand in the list.

To me, Applying a brand should mean that if you change the brand settings you can easily apply that brand to a video or a whole project.
